Born David Thewlis Wheeler on March 20, 1963 in Blackpool, England. He is a film, television, stage actor, as well as a writer. He was named best actor by the National Society of Film Critics, the London Film Critics Circle, and the Evening Standard, the New York Film Critics Circle, and the Cannes Film Festival. He also appears in the fifth movie Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
